Women’s Pledge

A national commitment to protect the sex-based rights of women and girls.

The Women’s Pledge Australia

I pledge to uphold clear, sex-based protections for women and girls by restoring biological definitions in law, defending female-only spaces and services (including sport), and ensuring public policy remains evidence-based rather than ideological.

This includes safeguarding women’s safety, dignity and opportunity, maintaining accurate sex-based crime data, and meaningfully consulting women’s organisations on any reforms that affect their rights.

I will:

  • Support legislation and policies that protect female-only facilities, fair competition in women’s sport, and parents’ rights regarding gender-questioning children.
  • Oppose policies that compel mixed-sex spaces or the medicalisation of minors
  • Be transparent about my positions
  • Engage respectfully with all stakeholders
  • Remain accountable to the women and girls whose rights deserve robust legal protection

Why the Women’s Pledge Matters

The Women’s Pledge is a public record of policy commitments on the sex-based rights of women and girls. It allows the community to see which representatives have committed to protecting female-only spaces, fair sport, accurate data, and evidence-based policy.

The Pledge is about principles and policy, not party politics. Women Speak Australia does not endorse or oppose any political party or candidate.
