Women Speak Australia is the national advocacy project of Women Speak Tasmania.
We extend the successful, evidence-based advocacy work of Women Speak Tasmania to the federal and national level. Our goal is to protect the sex-based rights, safety, fairness, and dignity of women and girls across Australia.
Our Mission
Women Speak Australia advances and protects the rights, safety, fairness, and dignity of women and girls nationwide by restoring biological sex as the foundation of law and public policy. We advocate for single-sex spaces, services, sports, and prisons, and we oppose policies that erode women’s safety and fairness.
We are committed to safeguarding children from ideological influence in education and healthcare, and to holding governments and institutions accountable through research, submissions, and public campaigns.
We believe that women’s rights are sex-based rights.

Our Story
Women Speak Australia was established to extend the successful state-based advocacy of Women Speak Tasmania to the national level. As self-ID laws, weakening definitions of sex in legislation, and the medicalisation of minors continue to spread across Australia, a coordinated national response became essential.
Women Speak Australia is currently an unincorporated national project governed by the Committee of Women Speak Tasmania. All donations are received through Women Speak Tasmania’s existing not-for-profit structure.
We are committed to transparency, evidence-based advocacy, and building the organisational foundation required for formal national incorporation.
