Who We Are
Women Speak Australia is an independent national advocacy organisation dedicated to advancing and protecting the sex-based rights and protections of women and girls throughout Australia.
We work to ensure that biological sex is recognised in law, public policy and society; that motherhood is respected; that children are safeguarded; and that public policy is grounded in scientific evidence, biological reality and universal human rights.
Women Speak Australia was established to provide an independent national voice for women and girls based on biological sex. We believe that protecting women’s sex-based rights, supporting motherhood, safeguarding children and promoting evidence-based public policy are essential to a fair, democratic and inclusive society.
Our Purpose
Women Speak Australia exists to:
- Promote and protect the sex-based rights and protections of women and girls
- Advance evidence-based public policy founded on biological reality
- Safeguard the rights, welfare and development of children
- Support and respect the unique role of motherhood
- Advocate for laws and public institutions that uphold fairness, transparency and accountability
- Promote respectful democratic debate and freedom of expression on matters affecting women and children
We adopt the Women’s Declaration on Sex-Based Rights as our foundational human rights framework.
The Declaration informs our advocacy and provides the guiding framework for our Charter, Foundational Principles and policy development.
Our Approach
We pursue our purpose through research, evidence-based policy development, public education, submissions to governments and parliamentary inquiries, advocacy, community engagement and public awareness initiatives.
We engage constructively with governments, institutions, professionals, researchers and the wider community while remaining independent and non-partisan.
Current Status
Women Speak Australia is currently undertaking incorporation as a company limited by guarantee (Women Speak Australia Ltd). Until incorporation is completed, the organisation operates as a national advocacy initiative.
Donations currently support the development of Women Speak Australia and will transfer to the new company structure once registration is finalised.
We are committed to transparency, good governance and building a strong, enduring national organisation capable of sustained advocacy for the sex-based rights and protections of women and girls.
Our Commitment
Women Speak Australia is independent of any political party, religious organisation or commercial interest.
We develop our positions in accordance with our Charter, guided by our Foundational Principles and informed by the best available scientific evidence.
